Young Women Program

Tonight I went to my youngest daughter's Young Women in Excellence program. As usual the spirit of our Heavenly Father was felt through out the program as the young women of our ward spoke about the Young Women's Theme/Values for the past year. We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us and we love Him. We will "stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places" (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are: Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, and Integrity. We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation. I hope that Shelby (my daughter) remembers the talk that she gave on Faith tonight and can live her life to the fullest as our Father in Heaven would have her do. I am always so proud of her when she does things like tonight. I want her to know that the love I have for her is that of a proudful father and I will always love her as a father and would love to be able to be a friend that she can turn to for help with any problem.
