Fun at the park with pops...

Hwello all yesterday pops took me to the park and we met my sweetie-pie Destiny. We had a great time and Destiny's mommy had a new camera and took some great shots that I will show you. I hope that you enjoy the pictures...

Here me and pops are taking a break watching my son play with my woman Destiny.

Thats my little lady chasing our son. You see where he gets his looks.

Here is a close up of them. Daddy has to help Destiny because she is camera shy at time. Isn't she the prettiest?

Here daddie is giving us some instructions. As you can see I am the only one that pays attention so I will have to pass onto the others.

Just wanted to share this....

Tonight was young women and young men, I only had two young men show up tonight and was very disappointed but we went on with or lesson and activity. Then when I got home Roxanne shared this with me and I want to share it with all that reads it.

TEMPLE TESTIMONY

My dear family, brothers and sisters, friends and leaders:

My heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude to our Heavenly Father for His tender mercies and mighty miracles in our behalf. I just have to share this with you. As most of you know, I am a Temple ordinance worker and work the morning shift in the LA Temple every Saturday. Today, I had the privilege of translating sister Martz-the new assistant Matron's-message during our devotional.

She started like this, "The prophet Joseph Smith said that no unhallowed hand would be able to stop this Work from progressing. These past few weeks when mobs have combined and armies have gathered against the saints, the Lord has protected His house". She went on to say that those, like her, who were inside the Temple when mobs were surrounding it, did not realize how scary and terrifying this looked on TV to the rest of us, because inside the House of the Lord all was calm and there was peace abundant.

After Proposition 8 passed, the Temple began receiving threatening calls and mail from those opposing it. They were warned that more than 5000 people would come to the Temple and burn it to the ground, and stop its work. The first Thursday when the mob came, the new LA Temple President called the Salt Lake City Temple Offices for instructions. He was instructed to call the local police and to insure the safety of those attending the Temple by closing the gates.

The assistant Matron said today, that it was a tender mercy from the Lord that the mob chose that Thursday to come since they had only one person coming to receive his own endowment that day, which he received in time to leave before trouble started.

The LAPD and the FBI responded quickly to the Temple Presidency's summons and patrolled the grounds and kept the mob from entering the same. Most of them had never been there before and expressed their surprise at how beautiful and peaceful all around was. They were invited to come back during the Christmas season to see the lights and they promised they would.

On Thursday, November 13th, sister Campbell, a secretary in the Temple, was opening the mail and upon opening a large manila envelope found inside a smaller one. When she opened this one, a white powder flew all around her desk. She thought this could be related to the demonstrators and feared the worst - ANTHRAX. She contacted the President, who in turn called the Salt Lake City Temple office again for instructions.
The FBI, the LAPD, and even the SWAT teams were once again in the grounds to investigate, and the Temple once again had to close from around 11:30 AM to 5PM. They closed the gates and were instructed to keep all the people there wherever they were found at the time. Those in the parking lot had to remain in the parking lot. Those entering the Temple had to remain in the first floor and those already upstairs were taken to the Celestial Room.

Then, the miracles began to happen: A brother serving as a recorder that day is a Microbiologist by profession and used to deal with hazardous substances every day. He was the first to say the white powder in the envelope was only talc, and put every one at ease.

Then the sister coordinator upstairs was impressed to call upstairs to the sealing area, and said, "They said we can't go down, but no one said we can't go up, and I have many people in the Celestial room with their ceremonial clothes on ready to work. Could they do some sealings?" As it happened, there were four sealers present that day and they ran four sealing sessions non stop while the Temple was closed.

Downstairs, someone else thought to invite those in the lobby to do some initiatories, which they promptly did for all those hours too, brothers and sisters alike. Among those waiting in the parking lot there was a large group of young men and women with their leaders who had come to do Baptisms for the dead, and who waited patiently all those hours and decided when
the Temple was reopened to go ahead and fulfill their assignment instead of driving back home. The Temple reopened in time for the 5:30 PM session.

The next day when recording the ordinances, they discovered that they had performed 2000 sacred ordinances on Thursday, only one less than the day before when three stakes had been visiting the Temple.

Once again the assistant matron reminded us of the words of the prophet Joseph Smith, "No unhallowed hand can stop the Work from progressing."

But, this is not all, a prophecy was fulfilled also. When the new LA Temple President was set apart by President Uchdorft of the First Presidency, he received a blessing and these words were pronounced: "The time has come for the LA Temple to come out of obscurity and become an Ensign for Righteousness to the world under your presidency." The pictures of the Temple have been shown on TV, newspapers and the internet, not only in this country but worldwide.

People of other faiths have called and sent letters to the Temple thanking the Church for defending marriage and protecting the family, and commenting how impressed they are by how beautiful and majestic the Temple looks. One minister of an African American church, who by his own admission had harbored ill feelings against the mormons before said, "I am impressed by your integrity and Christ like behavior, and even if I am not ready to consider you my brothers and sisters in Christ, we can be first cousins!"

I asked the assistant matron if I could share her comments and she said to go ahead. I can only add my own testimony that I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the power and authority of God on earth. God Lives and Jesus, His only Begotten Son and our Savior is coming soon to redeem His people.

I am grateful to know this and I pray we stand firm, steadfast and immobile while the prophecies of the signs before His Coming are fulfilled. "Be not afraid, only believe," He has said, and also, "What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the Earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same."

I testify that this is true and testify it in the Holy Name of Whom I strive to serve, even Jesus Christ. Be faithful and safe is my humble prayer.

Your sister in Christ,
Patricia H. Arnazzi

One Year ago

Well I have been home from my last rotation now for a year. Boy has it gone be fast! This is a picture of the guys that I worked with over there. We had some down time got some steaks and had a cook out. Because of the operations that were going on in our area this was probably one of the biggest groups of JTAC's in one area at once. Not all could be here at once so we took steaks to the guys that still had to man the TOCs. Right here we had guys from Hawaii, Washington, North Carolina, and Texas. These guys became my family for that year that I was there and I will never for forget them.
These two guys are part of my army team. They were our shadow warriors. They controlled the UAV that gave us live feeds of the operations we worked so we got to see the aircraft drop their bombs or watch them shoot their rockets.

The family

Hewo all, its Saturday night and i hacked into daddies computer so i could post some pictures of the family and introduce everyone to you all.

Here mommy and daddy on mommies birthday. Daddy went and got her those hard fish things that smelt funny, mommy said they tasted real good.

This pretty little lady with daddy is the oldiest daughter Samantha. This is at her graduation just in case you couldn't tell. She lives in Caly and is going to college there.

This is Korey on the phone to one of his girlfriends probably. He likes to play soccer in highschool. He also lives in Caly.
This is the youngest daughter Shel and mommy. She is showing mommy how many of those marshmellows she can shove into her mouth. This is my sissy again when she had some food catchers on her teeth. I don't even know what the heck to think about those dog gon things!

This is Korey and his cousin Kinzie. Kinzie needs to pull his pants up so he don't show his butt nugget!
This is the fir ball hacker Jarin that my son Gunnar likes to chase around the house. It is fun to watch Jarin gets so upset and hiss all over the place. Just keep him out of my chow bowl!
And this is me putting my son Gunnar in his place. Sometimes he thinks that he is the alpha male around here. Kinda like my daddie, I let him think that but I let Gunnar know that I am. Well thats the family and I have to get off the computer before daddie catches me, you know he thinks he is the alpha male...I have to laugh at that. Bye for now

Cold day in Texas

You know it is cold when you get up and see Kaiser wearing one of Shel's bras for an ear muff. Yes it is a cold day today I believe that it is in the very low 60's maybe in the 50's. He picked a very nice one to wear though I will give him that. I think he picked that one because he knew that we were going to the park to see his girlfriend Destiny. He always wants to look his best for the mother of his son.

Here they are at the park: Kaiser, Gunnar, and Destiny. Now you know where Gunnar gets his looks from. If we didn't have different collar on them you would know which one was which.

Here they have the scent of...who knows they think though that they are great hunters.

Best part of a long day!

As you can see from the pictures my highlight of my day was to clean the boyz teeth with a toothpick. As you can see by the center picture Kaiser says he knows how to use a toothpick by himself and look cool at the same time. Gunnar is not sure about clean teeth but Kaiser let him know that the chicks dig clean teeth!

Young Women Program

Tonight I went to my youngest daughter's Young Women in Excellence program. As usual the spirit of our Heavenly Father was felt through out the program as the young women of our ward spoke about the Young Women's Theme/Values for the past year. We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us and we love Him. We will "stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places" (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are: Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, and Integrity. We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation. I hope that Shelby (my daughter) remembers the talk that she gave on Faith tonight and can live her life to the fullest as our Father in Heaven would have her do. I am always so proud of her when she does things like tonight. I want her to know that the love I have for her is that of a proudful father and I will always love her as a father and would love to be able to be a friend that she can turn to for help with any problem. I love you Shel

Fun at the movies

Just got back from the movies. We went to see Madagascar 2, what a great show. Pretty funny stuff just make sure you get there early enough to get a good seat. We thought we left in time to get a good seat and ended up sitting in the very front row. Anyway when we got back home and told Kaiser about it he got all excited and started to dance with Roxanne while she sang "I like to move it move it." She says that is his favorite song because he likes to move it. After they got done with the dance the boyz said that they were going to go to the movie. Lucky for us they haven't figured out how to open the garage door...yet.

Great idea!

The last two nights I have been learning about my nieces and their families from reading their blogs. I thought that it is a great idea so people know what is going on with you and your family. So tonight I am going to give it a try and hope that my computer skills improve by doing so. I have named my blog Kaiser's place because he sort of runs things around here. Well him and his son Gunnar. They are our home security system, that is if we forget to set the alarm. I am glad that we have them while I was deployed to Iraq the house was broken into and Kaiser scared the guy away before he could do any harm to my family or steal any thing. The police said it was a good thing he was around. I think that was one of the best selling points to having a dog. Roxanne (my loving wife) is not a big dog fan but she knows how much I wanted one she said yes and he has won her heart. She takes him and Gunnar just about every where she goes. The picture above is the two of them keeping the backyard safe from cats.
